Tree Near Glacier Point

This dead tree was on the four-mile trail about a quarter of a mile from Glacier Point. What caught my eye about this tree, as opposed to its less-bark-disadvantaged brethren, are the strong vertical patterns caused by years of weather, wear, and insects.

This is truly one of those cases where any reproduction of the original print--even the 300dpi JPEG of the above--is going to be vastly inferior to the original.
